Nicknamed “De Standaard” by design lovers, the Loft D1000 has been a French industrial icon since 1950. Created by Jean-Louis Domecq, who needed a sturdy lamp for his auto repair shop, it quickly became a workshop and studio essential — admired for its tough joints, adjustable arms, and timeless Bauhaus-inspired form.
Made from aircraft-grade aluminum and heavy-duty steel, the D1000 is built to endure decades of use, spills, and daily adjustments. Its Ø15 cm reflector rotates 360° with cable-free joints, offering precise, targeted lighting and outstanding flexibility.
Handmade and individually numbered in Lyon, each Loft lamp carries the mark of authentic craftsmanship. Available in 55 finishes, it remains as relevant today as it was seventy years ago.
