About Jieldé:
Jieldé lighting established in 1950 by Jean Louis Domecq who was the inventor of the famous sliding contacts in the joints, making sure that electrical malfunction is out of the equation. That in itself was enough to ensure its popularity in the time of the Industrial Revolution. Many people in the newly erected factories worked in bad conditions suffering from electrical shocks due to wire breakage. Not any more, thanks to this invention by Jieldé.
The Loft Series: The first design from 1950, also known as “The Standard”.
The Lak Series: A more angular version of the Loft Series, widely used in hospitals (late 60s to early 70s).
The Signal Series: A smaller version of the Loft Series without the slip contacts. Introduced in 2006.
The Aicler Series: A variation of the Signal Series with a shade (round or rectangular). Introduced in 2019.
The Suspensions Series: The pendant lamp series from Jieldé introduced from 2010 onwards.
